TOURISM EXPERIENCE
WASHINGTON AVENUE BID
FROM STRUGGLE TO THE SPOTLIGHT
How I Revitalized a District and Can Help Yours Too

When I first stepped into the role of Executive Director for the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District in Miami Beach, I was handed more than a title—I was handed a challenge. Empty storefronts lined the street. Foot traffic was dwindling. Businesses were frustrated, and residents were losing hope. What once was one of the most iconic corridors in America had faded into the background.

But I saw more than problems—I saw potential.
With a clear vision and relentless determination, I went to work. I met with every property owner and business leader I could find. I listened to their pain points. I studied the policies that held them back. Then, I built bridges—between the city and businesses, between culture and commerce, and most importantly, between the past and the future.

We launched a live music and arts series that brought over 1,500 people out each month. We place lighting down the median of the avenue, murals on vacant buildings, legacy momuments to legands like Muhammad Ali, Jackie Gleason, Prince, and Giani Versace.
I created marketing campaigns that elevated local brands and drew national attention. I helped cut red tape, championed safety initiatives, brought in public art, and turned vacant spaces into vibrant storefronts. In my first year alone, we reduced vacancies by 25% and increased pedestrian traffic by over 15%.

I sat on multiple Tourism, Police Citizens, Nightlife, and Education comittee boards. and negotiated on behalf of the corridor in front of the City Comission, Historic Preservation,, Code Enforcement, Building and G.O Bond Revitilization of Economic Development.

It wasn’t just about making things look better—it was about making things work better.

Now, I want to help your BID do the same. Whether your district is facing high vacancy rates, struggling with city relations, or needs a fresh identity to attract investment and tourism, I bring proven strategies, creative innovation, and hands-on leadership to spark meaningful change.

If your BID is ready to grow—if it’s ready for a revival—I’m here to help you write the next chapter.

COLOMBIA INSPIRED
FOOD TOURS
From Curiosity to Culinary Movement: The Story Behind Colombia Inspired

When I first visited Medellín, I didn’t come to launch a business—I came to explore. But what I found in the heart of Colombia wasn’t just great food. It was flavor infused with history, passion, resilience, and pride. I met chefs crafting unforgettable meals in hole-in-the-wall kitchens, families running restaurants passed down through generations, and tourists unsure of where to begin their culinary adventure.

That’s when the idea hit me: What if I could connect the world to this richness—through food, culture, and authentic local experiences?

So I built Colombia Inspired from the ground up. What started as one simple food tour has grown into a movement. We now offer Inspired and Paisa Inspired tours, immersive cocktail experiences, and even speed dating events—all designed to showcase the beauty, taste, and soul of Medellín. We’re now building relationships with hotels, restaurants, and tourism companies to fuel growth and bring international visibility to Colombia’s culinary scene.

But this isn’t just a business. It’s a blueprint.

I’ve learned how to build trust with locals, create strategic partnerships, navigate cultural sensitivities, and use marketing to reach American and international travelers. I've hired and trained a team, structured day-to-day operations, and turned vision into results.

If you’re dreaming of launching a food tour, tourism startup, or cultural experience in Latin America—or anywhere with a story to tell—I’m here to help. With real-world experience and a proven system, I can show you how to build something meaningful, profitable, and truly inspired.
